Do not call 911 unless you have a real emergency.<\/td>\n                <td><input id=\"sure-outage\" class=\"form-check-input\" type=\"checkbox\" name=\"sureoutage\" value=\"\" \/><\/td>\n            <\/tr>\n            <tr>\n                <td>3. <strong>Use a flashlight when it gets dark.<\/strong> If you must use candles, never leave them unattended.<\/td>\n                <td><input id=\"use-flashlight\" class=\"form-check-input\" type=\"checkbox\" name=\"useflashlight\" value=\"\" \/><\/td>\n            <\/tr>\n            <tr>\n                <td>4. <strong>Use a battery-powered radio<\/strong> and listen to a local news radio station for updates.<\/td>\n                <td><input id=\"battery-radio\" class=\"form-check-input\" type=\"checkbox\" name=\"batteryradio\" value=\"\" \/><\/td>\n            <\/tr>\n            <tr>\n                <td>5. <strong>Turn off power strips and\/or unplug computers, TVs, DVD players, and any other sensitive appliances.<\/strong> This will help prevent potential damage when electricity comes back on. NOTE: All electronic appliances are vulnerable to power surges. They should be plugged into a surge-suppressor power strip, not directly into a wall outlet.<\/td>\n                <td><input id=\"powerstrips\" class=\"form-check-input\" type=\"checkbox\" name=\"powerstrips\" value=\"\" \/><\/td>\n            <\/tr>\n            <tr>\n                <td>6. <strong>Turn off all but one of the lights that were on, so you will notice when electricity is restored.<\/strong><\/td>\n                <td><input id=\"lightsoff\" class=\"form-check-input\" type=\"checkbox\" name=\"lightsoff\" value=\"\" \/><\/td>\n            <\/tr>\n            <tr>\n                <td>7. <strong>Turn off heat\u2013producing appliances<\/strong> like electric irons and heaters to prevent fires in case no one is home when power is restored.<\/td>\n                <td><input id=\"turn-off-appliances\" class=\"form-check-input\" type=\"checkbox\" name=\"appliances\" value=\"\" \/><\/td>\n            <\/tr>\n            <tr>\n                <td>8. <strong>Outside your home<\/strong>: Traffic lights and railroad crossings may not work. If you\u2019re driving, stop, look, and listen for cross traffic. If you\u2019re stuck in an elevator, stay there and wait for help.
